ewwwwww? Did it taste good?
Yes, I slow cooked it with tomato and garlic and olives and capers and it was most yummy, firm but not chewy. And Maxi even tried a mouthful and said it was delicious.
You are a brave brave lady! Fab pic 😀
Thank you, cleaning it was an experience, but the boys thought it was ace!
Eek that is horrid, but the picture is good.
Thank you, Mini cuddled it (in it’s wrapping) all the way home, he was most concerned that it would feel hurt.
I love squid! My favourite in chopped and rolled in salt, pepper and plain white flour, then dipped in hot oil for a bout 1 to 2 minutes. Any longer and it goes chewy. The only other way is as you did on a long slow cook. Quite hard to find fresh in the shops like this. Do you have a good fishmonger locally?
Not for me I am afraid,I love looking at the picture though?
Should do more fish/seafood cookery. I do like to try something unusual.
Ewwww, wasn’t expecting that! Gave me a flashback to when I shared a flat with a girl from greece who stored them in jars in the kitchen, and slow boiled them for hours on the hob!! (not a great things for a veggie)
Do love the photo though, very good shot!
Not sure I’d like to keep one in a jar…
Oh good grief! I’ve just eaten breakfast!
Having said that calamari for lunch sounds great 🙂
ewww..not sure I’d be kean on that
I’m afraid I can’t bring myself to click ‘Like’ on that one…they give me the heebie jeebies! *covers eyes and navigates away swiftly* 🙂
Oh I am sorry sweetie, it did taste delicious, and was a great opportunity to have a biology lesson with the boys x
