Around the world in 80 Words – Epernay

Driving past rows and rows of grape vines, the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier on chalky white, stony soil.

Winding up the road, past Champagne de Castellane tower and down the rue de la champagne, passing Mercier, Pol Roget and Dom Perignon.

Having lunch at the cafe on the corner, the waiter open a bottle of bubbles and letting the cork shoot across the street, with no regards to health and safety.

Bubbles that taste of liquid gold, pure bliss.
